5 simple hacks to get your glow back

Have you recently given birth? Or perhaps you’ve suffered from dry skin and wonder how to “get the glow back”? Here are 5 tips to help.

Did you read “get the glow back” and think I’d gotten into a luxurious mode? Well, I might have, but affordably.

I must confess that this was one of the things I was fighting after giving birth. My skin was feeling quite dull, and I had lots of acne, especially on my forehead.

Therefore, let's dive into those simple things that I practiced( and still am) to get the glow back.

1. Drink water

I bet you’re thinking at this point, who doesn’t? But it’s not just about drinking water.

I remember very well when my mother always insisted on drinking water, and I said: “Please leave me alone; I do not feel like it!”

This can’t be the case only with me. Maybe you’re in the same position and think, what should I do if I don’t feel thirsty? I believe a single day is normal, but if it goes on for a longer time, well, it’s time to consider it.

If you read this article, you’ll learn that you should drink at least 3 liters daily.

It sounds a lot and might be a lot to handle when it comes to lots of peeing, but mind you… water is essential to our bodies and more so for our skin.

2. Exercise

When it comes to getting the glow back, this is a point I can’t fail to mention.

And especially for women who want to get their glow back after pregnancy.

Studies show that you increase your heart rate and improve blood circulation by exercising. This provides the skin with oxygen and nutrients, keeping the skin healthy and forming new skin cells, making the skin look radiant.

Even if you can’t work out right after giving birth, it’s good to start slow once healed.

Start with short walks. 15-30 minutes of walking a day are worth it.

3. Get enough sleep

I guess this isn’t the first time you’ve heard the phrase that sleep is the best medicine.

Because if you don’t get enough sleep, your complexion can look lifeless.

For example, as a mom, I can tell you what it means not to have enough sleep. With all the things you have to wake up in the middle of the night to take care of your baby, you have a gloomy or even stressful day.

In such a case, try to get a specific bedtime routine. This will allow you to get 8 healthy hours of sleep and solve any problems due to lack of sleep.

4. Give your skin some TLC

The glow may have been taken away by other factors, but it won’t get better if you don’t care for your skin. So, how to do it:

5. Watch your diet

You’ve probably heard enough about the skin microbiome. This is an ecosystem of skin bacteria on the skin’s surfaces.

It guards you against pathogens that could affect your skin and overall health.

To ensure that all works well, we should take care of several things.

That is watching what we eat. So please,  take care of your gut and health in general.

The gut microbiome consists of the collective genome of microbes that inhabit the gut, including bacteria, archaea, viruses, and fungi.

Three things that make a difference for your gut are fiber, fiber, and fiber).

I focus on getting enough fiber to get my glow back, and I think you should.

Here are some sources of fiber:

  • Fruits
  • Vegetables
  • Nuts
  • Cereals
