Yes, summer is here. And if you live in a country where the winter season is frigid and long, then you know why this topic is so important. With that in mind, today we’re going to talk about things to do during summer. Or, as you might like to call it, a summer bucket list.

sandles, sunglasses, and a summer hat

Aside from chilling at the nearest beach, soaking up some sun, and swimming, there may be more on this list.

Are you scratching your head, wondering what else you could be doing? Well, stay tuned as I list my summer bucket list and see if you can get some tips/activities for this summer.

Summer Bucket List (Things to do this summer)

  • Have a Picnic

Going for picnics is one of my best moments when the warm season starts to knock. Spending quality time outside in nature with my family during this season is very cozy and memorable.

I would recommend you try the same and you will love it. After a long time of being indoors, it’s an excellent activity now that things are starting to loosen up.

Remember, you don’t necessarily have to be with a very close partner. Plan it with your friend, schoolmate, or anyone else who might feel like joining in and having fun.

  • Go out often with my daughter

Those of you who gave birth in 2020 may be able to relate to what it has been like for babies and toddlers.

In my case, for example, I gave birth in February (2020). Although I would say she was small last summer, I didn’t get the opportunity of taking her for strolls in places where she could see other people and children as I would have liked.

So this time, that’s one of the things on my summer bucket list.

Now I want her to get out, explore, play with sand and learn to see people.

Dear Mom, if you’re reading this, let the little ones out, and the older ones too, so they can enjoy summer to the fullest.

  • Explore the country

Traveling and exploring your country is another great summer activity.

Did you know that you can enjoy being a tourist in your own country? Visit the places you’ve never been and see what your country has to offer.

I’ll be exploring to see more fjords and mountains this summer—a part of my country that I haven’t seen before. Stick around as I will share some beautiful pictures with you here.

  • Pick berries

Since there is a small forest in our neighborhood that grows berries at this time of the year, I can’t pass up picking them. And most likely make some jam.mmm yummy!

As for you, maybe no berries are growing in your area at this time of year, but there are apples or other fruits or veggies.
Be a mini farmer for a moment, and I bet you’ll love it.

  • Enjoy the outdoor exercise

As much as you may enjoy an indoor workout as I do, I think it’s also good to enjoy the fresh air when the weather is kind.
Try moving your morning or even daily workout outside when the sun isn’t so hot. This can be on your patio, behind the house, or even just at a playground in your neighborhood.

So, now that I’ve mentioned these 5 things to do during summer, I hope you’ve added 1 or 2 to your summer bucket list. As I mentioned earlier, I’d also love to add some summer activities from you to my list. Therefore, don’t feel shy to share in the comment section. Have a great summer with lots of fun!
