I think Saturdays are such special days for most of us. It’s a day when you can rest from five busy days. Not only that, but you get to spend time with the whole family or friends because you’re all at home all day.

That being the case, you may end up looking for fun things to do this day. Hence, our article today. “5 things to do on a Saturday”.

Here are my five things to do on a Saturday. Remember, here at Zipporah Brathen, we share tips, tricks and get to bond. So feel free to share what you usually do on Saturdays in our comment section. We'd be happy to try a tip from you as well.

Things to do on a Saturday 1: Enjoy my hobbies

If I haven’t mentioned it before, I’ll tell you now. Apart from reading and writing, I like to exercise for my well-being. Although I don’t do it every day like I used to because of some health issues during my pregnancy, I still try to do it three times a week. One of those days is Saturday.

On this day, my partner and our daughter join me.

Moments like these are fun because we may not find the time to do everything together on the other week’s days.

Guys, do you love sports or just an outdoor activity? Saturday would be a fun day to get together with your best friend, boyfriend, husband, relatives, or colleagues. Enjoying such time with some company will let you enjoy the weekend and not feel lonely while you’re not working or doing your weekday chores.

Things to do on a Saturday 2: Watch a movie or your favorite tv program

Sometimes we all lack the time during the week to see something we really like on TV.

I, for example, barely have time for it Monday through Friday unless I want to catch up on the news. The reason: I’m either busy raising my dear Synnøve, doing housework, studying, or here at Zipporah Brathen, yet I find this time productive, so no complaint. But I don’t pass up this opportunity if it’s a Saturday. Having someone to help me with my little one and switch off here gives me time to enjoy other things.

That might be the case for you. Maybe you’ve had a busy week and haven’t had time to enjoy a movie or what you like to watch. Take advantage of Saturdays to enjoy that.

Things to do on a Saturday 3: Pursue my passion

This means to seek or strive to attain one’s desires.

For example, apart from blogging which is in me, I love to do some DIY projects.

I make my baby some things, make some jewelry, and do some home decorating. I find Saturdays very perfect for doing that.

Do you have a passion that you haven’t pursued yet? Do you claim that you don’t have time? Well, even though it’s not everywhere that people don’t work on Saturdays, I think you can spare some time. If you want something, you go for it.

Things to do on a Saturday 4: Write a journal

I like to write my personal favorites in my journal and use them as inspiration for the weekend.

Most people prefer to write their journal in the early morning when they have just woken up and felt fresh. But you can also write it before you retire to bed at the end of the day. In this case, I like to do it early in the morning on Saturdays when I’m relaxed and don’t have much to do at that time.

If you went through this post, you’d learn that journaling helps control your symptoms and improve your mood by helping you prioritize problems and worries.

But don’t stop there, as it will give you more clarity about your life path. By keeping a journal on a Saturday, you improve your ability to make small and big decisions in the week ahead.

In your journal, you’ll get to plot your future and create it for yourself. Dear reader, I’d recommend you try doing so, as you are the author of your life story, and you deserve to be happy.

Things to do on a Saturday 5: Enjoy breakfast with someone

In that case, I’ll do it with my family, but I wouldn’t mind meeting up with a friend either.

Even though it can be hard to meet your friends in these difficult moments, it’s good to enjoy such moments together. Probably when everything gets back to normal.

In the meantime, if you have other people staying with you? Please make your Saturdays memorable by having breakfast together. On weekdays, people usually go at different times and hurry and miss this opportunity.
